Obituary
Joseph Barclay of Middletown, 12/14/1933 - 4/4/2011 died on Monday April 4 at ORMC
Horton Campus in Middletown. He was 77.
The son of the late Alexander and Agnes McCarthy Barclay, he was
born on December 14, 1933 in Belview, N.J. He married Betty
McLean on February 1, 1975 and worked for the NYC Port
Authority.
Joseph is survived by his wife Betty; son Joseph; daughters,
Joann Potter and her husband Mark of Westtown and Kelli Barclay
of Otisville; sisters, Agnes of Brooklyn and Jane-Ann Scrivner
and her husband Rodger of Ocala, FL; four grandchildren, three
great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, loving brothers and
sister-in-laws. He was predeceased by one brother, William.
Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday,
April 6, 2011 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130
Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Our Lady Mt.
Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial
will follow in the family plot in Oceanview Cemetery.
