I am saddened to advise that Alan Skoglind, who retired from the Port Authority in 1983, passed away unexpectedly this past Tuesday (March 3, 2009).

He was most recently in the NY State Veterans Home for rehabilitation following surgery and was planning to come home.

He had many happy memories of working at the Port Authority, the projects he worked on, and the people he worked with. He looked forward to receiving the PA News.
