CLIFTON — Services were held for Alfred Kozdeba,
89, of this city, who died on Friday, Sept. 25,
2009.
Born in Passaic, Mr.
Kozdeba lived in Wallington before moving to Clifton
49 years ago. He was a police sergeant for the Port
Authority of New York and New Jersey, where he
worked for 25 years before retiring in 1976. Also,
he was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church,
Passaic. He was a member of the PBA Port Authority,
the Pistol Team, and the Chopin Singing Society.
And, he was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World
War II.
Services were at the
J.C. Fila Lexington Memorial Home, Clifton, followed
by Mass at St. Joseph R.C. Church. Interment was at
Crest Haven Cemetery, Clifton.
Mr. Kozdeba is survived by his wife, the former
Alexandra Taras; his son, Paul, of Little Falls; and
his sister, Josephine Zielen, of Wallington.
