KATHLEEN M.
GROGAN
AGE: 59 HOWELL
Kathleen M. Grogan, 59, of Howell, died Wednesday, March
4, 2009, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Mrs. Grogan was
a supervisor/manager of ground transportation for the
NJ/NY Port Authority at Newark Airport Terminals in
Newark. She worked for the Port Authority for over 30
years up until her passing.
She received her BS at
St. John University in Staten Island and then received
her MA at LaSalle University in Philadelphia Pa. She was
a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Howell Elks
#2515 and was a communicant of St. William the Abbott,
Howell, where she was a lecture and former choir member.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she lived in the Eltonville
section of Staten Island and briefly in Bayonne before
moving to Howell 31 years ago.
Surviving are her loving
husband of 31 years, John Patrick Grogan Jr.; her
parents, Robert and Mary Grady of Staten Island; two
brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Fran Grady of
Toms River, and Dennis and Andrea Grady of Oceanside,
Long Island, N.Y.; and a sister, Susan Haley of Howell.
She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be
from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 6,2009 at
the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Saturday, March 7, 2009 at St. William the Abbott R.C.
Church, Howell. Interment will be held privately.

Her friends at the Port Authority were saddened to learn of the
passing of Kathleen Grogan on March 4, 2009. She is survived by
her husband, John Grogan.
Mrs. Grogan joined the Port
Authority on October 1, 1979. At the time of her death, she
held the position of General Operations Supervisor at Newark
Liberty International Airport.
Friends will be received at The
O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, NJ from
2-4pm and 7-9pm on Friday, March 6, 2009. A funeral mass will
be held at St. William the Abbott Church, 2740 Lakewood
Allenwood Road, Howell, NJ at 10am on Saturday, March 7, 2009.
