						Hey folks, sad news

We were notified by Pete Ciano's son, Gregg, last night,
that Pete had passed away. Pete was suffering from a
host of serious ailments, but seemed to have them all
licked with the exception of liver cancer. He had been
home for the holidays and seemed to be on the way to
recovery. He went back in the hospital for treatment
recently, but the cancer eventually took its toll as it
does for so many of our friends.

Pete lived in Savannah, GA, where he will be waked.
There will be a memorial service in New Jersey at some
future date. It is ironic that the last time we had
planned to see Pete was at the service for Tony Barber.
He had taken a bad fall upon arriving at the airport the
day of the service and could not make it. Little did we
know that this was the start of a long battle for Pete,
which eventually got the better of him.

I would appreciate it if you could pass on this message
to others who may have known Pete. Gregg promised to
keep us informed as details are known about both
services. Please contact me if you would like to attend
one of the services so I can let you know as
						arrangements are made.

We lost another great friend and a great person.

						Regards, John
