F. Jago Legal administrator at Port Authority, of Nutley, 77
Robert F. Jago, 77, of Nutley died Thursday, April 24, 2008, in
Atlantic Hospice at Care One, Morristown.
The funeral will
be on Monday at 9 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home,
267 Centre St., Nutley, swbrownandson.com, with a Mass
celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Nutley, at 10
a.m. The entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North
Arlington. Friends will be received at the funeral home on
Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
Born and raised in
Jersey City, Mr. Jago moved to Nutley 33 years ago. He retired
as a legal administrator for the Law Department of the Port
Authority of New York and New Jersey. An Army National Guard
veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Jago was also a member of the
Port Authority Retirees Association, as well as serving on the
board of directors. He was also a former secretary and former
member of the Association of Legal Administrators. He was a
volunteer with ARC, Mountainside Hospital and Cancer Care. He
was a Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church,
Nutley; an avid St. Peters College basketball fan, and an avid
golfer.
He is survived by
his beloved wife, Patricia E. (Beach) Jago; his children, Susan
M. Guglielmo and her husband, Tom, and Thomas R. Jago and his
wife, Marie; a sister, Gloria Skea; a brother, Alfred and his
wife, Helen, and his grandchildren, Katie and Michael Guglielmo
and Matt, Ally and Marisa Jago. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions to the Atlantic Hospice, 33 Bleeker Sr., Millburn,
N.J. 07041 would be preferred.
