F. Donald Pflug, 70, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 
						11, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New 
						Brunswick. He was born in Irvington and had previously 
						resided in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Keansburg before moving to 
						Matawan in 1977. He was a graduate of Red Bank Catholic 
						High School in the class of 1956 and was a very active 
						alumnus. Donald also attended Newark College of 
						Engineering; was a member of the American Legion, 
						Keyport; and was a communicant of St. Clements Roman 
						Catholic Church. 
						
						Donald was a construction 
						inspector at Newark Airport for the Port Authority of 
						New York and New Jersey with 49 years of dedication. He 
						was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Donald was an avid golfer, 
						loved to garden and was active in community affairs. He 
						loved his family and spending time with his 
						grandchildren and his many friends. 
						
						Donald was predeceased by 
						his parents, Frank G. and Catherine Criqui Pflug; and 
						his sister, Catherine Gens. Surviving are his former 
						wife, Mary Pflug of Fair Haven; his daughter, Jacqueline 
						Ffrench and her husband Martin of Fair Haven; his son, 
						Sean F. Pflug and his wife Marie of Eatontown; his 
						daughter, Audrey F. Beer and her husband Tracy of 
						Annapolis, Md.; his brother, Gerald Pflug of West 
						Keansburg; his sisters, Janet White of Highlands, and 
						Barbara Brown of Port Monmouth, Middletown; his 
						grandchildren, Keeley, Shaemus, Maura, Keegan, Ryan, 
						Timothy, Tracy Jr., and Charlotte; and several nieces, 
						nephews, and cousins. The family wishes to thank his 
						many friends and coworkers for their love and support.
						
						
						Visitation will take 
						place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at John E. 
						Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. A Mass of 
						Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at 
						St. James R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Mount 
						Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. 
						
						Memorial donations may be 
						made in his memory to the Red Bank Catholic High school 
						Scholarship Fund. (Details available at funeral home.)

				His friends at the Port Authority were saddened to learn of the 
				passing of Francis Donald Pflug on Tuesday, November 11, 2008.  
				Mr. Pflug is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughters, 
				Jacqueline and Audrey, and his son, Sean.
				 
				Mr. Pflug joined the Port Authority on November 2, 1960.  At the 
				time of his death, he held the position of Engineer (CESMA), at 
				Newark Liberty International Airport, Engineering Department.
				
				 
				Friends will be received at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 
				Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Friday, November 14 from 
				2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
				 
				A funeral mass will be held at the St. James Roman Catholic 
				Church, 94 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Saturday November 
				15 at 10 a.m.
				 
				Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown, 
				NJ.
