Gloria Harriet McDuffie
McDUFFIE, GLORIA HARRIET, On Wednesday May 21, 2008 of Jersey City,NJ and Springfield, Virginia. Beloved wife of the late Richard Allen McDuffie, Jr., Mother of Richard Allen McDuffie, III and Lauretta McDuffie McKenzie (Cornell McKenzie) of Springfield, VA, Grandmother of Kimberly McKenzie Gillette of Fairfax, VA, Devin McKenzie and Jeremy McKenzie of Springfield, VA. Preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Neal, daughter Linda McDuffie & grandson Marc McKenzie.

Born in Atlanta, Ga., she lived in Jersey City for 78 years.  McDuffie was a toll collector for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, before retiring.

Friends will be received at Salem Baptist Church, 50 Clinton Avenue, Jersey City, NJ on Wednesday, May 28 from 6 PM until time of service at 7 PM. A Repast will follow the service at the Chandelier Restaurant, 1075 Broadway, Bayonne. Interment at Bay View Cemetery, 321 Garfield Avenue, Jersey City, NJ on Thursday, May 29 at 10:00 am. Arrangements entrusted to: WATSON MORTUARY SERVICE, 26 Gifford Ave, Jersey City, NJ.   Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City, is in charge.
