It's with a great degree of sorrow that I report Moe
Lipson passed away suddenly over the weekend at the age
of 96.
MaryAnn Kennedy reports that Moe was buried this
morning. He died peacefully without any discomfort or
suffering. His grandson is Sitting Shiva this afternoon
and tomorrow at his apartment in Manhattan but I do not
know his grandson's name. Moe's wife has
pre-deceased him, and he does leave a surviving
daughter, Nancy Cohen, but I do not have information on
an address for forwarding expressions of condolence.
May God Bless Moe, and may he rest in eternal peace.
Webmaster's Note:
Paul's message above had included the address of Moe's
grandson. However, it is my policy to
protect the privacy of individuals and not display
personal information on the PARA website that is open to
public access. I received an addendum to the
message above from Paul:
Moe was for many years a
Construction Inspector who moved on to WTC Operations to
work with the Electrical unit. Moe retired in 1982 but
he was working as a job shopper on electrical programs
post retirement, mostly managing electrical programs.
Moe was an Engineer at
the time of his retirement. Moe knew so much about
the WTC's electrical design, he was exempted from the
PA's mandatory age 65 retirement requirements and after
retirement, provided consulting services to the PA on a
major lawsuit between the PA and the original WTC
electrical installation contractor.....Paul Bolognese
