						KELLY Robert A. Kelly Electrical engineer, active in 
						community, 81 Robert A. Kelly, 81, passed away at home 
						on Feb. 8, 2008, after a short illness. Visitation is at 
						the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main St., Madison, on 
						Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral 
						Mass will be offered at Holy Family Church, Lloyd 
						Avenue, Florham Park, on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m., 
						with interment in Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown. 
						
						Born 
						in New York, Mr. Kelly was an alumnus of Rensselaer 
						Polytechnic Institute, Union College, Schenectady, N.Y., 
						and Seton Hall University Law School. He served in the 
						United States Navy Reserve. He was an electrical 
						engineer who received a U.S. patent as a professional 
						engineer. He retired from the Port Authority of New York 
						and New Jersey in 1984, and thereafter ran several 
						businesses until his retirement in 2006. 
						
						Active in 
						community service throughout his life, Mr. Kelly was 
						involved with the Boy Scouts, and had been an Eagle 
						Scout and served as a scoutmaster. He was a fourth 
						degree Knight of Columbus and a charter member of 
						Knights of Columbus Council 5103. In association with 
						the Borough of Florham Park, he served as a 
						representative to the Whippany River Watershed Action 
						Committee, the Passaic River Coalition, and was active 
						with the Office of Emergency Management. He worked on 
						numerous projects with Habitat for Humanity for over 10 
						years and was one of the Friday Faithfuls. 
						
						Mr. Kelly is 
						survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth; sons, 
						Robert, Gregory and Brian, and daughters, Elizabeth 
						Figueroa and Claudia; daughters-in-laws, Louise and 
						Theresa; son in-law, Francisco Figueroa; eight 
						grandchildren; his sisters, Marilyn Burden and Elaine Schueler, brotherin-law, Charles Schueler, and many 
						nieces and nephews. 
						
						In lieu of flowers, donations may be 
						made to Habitat for Humanity, 102 Iron Mountain Drive, 
						Suite H, Wharton, N.J. 07803.
