JONES, MARIE C. JONES, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at her home in Aberdeen. She was born in Jersey City and resided in Aberdeen for 32 years. She was employed as a toll supervisor for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey retiring after 25 years of service.

She was a communicant of St. Catharine's RC Church in Holmdel where she was a member of the 50 + Club. Marie was pre-deceased by her parents, James and Josephine Farrell Lillis, two sisters, Anne Drew & Josephine Kermode, and a brother James Lillis. Surviving are her brother-in-law Fred Drew and her sister-in-law Catherine Lillis; also surviving her are six nieces: Judith Switaj, Josephine Sill, Joanne Drew, Marcella Guilford, Catherine Adrion, and Cecelia O'Donnell, a nephew, Stephen Lillis, and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She also leaves behind her faithful dog, 'Sam'.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at JOHN E. DAY FUNERAL HOME, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 7, 2008, at St. Catharine's RC Church, Holmdel, at 9 am.

Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, Marlboro, NJ. Memorial donations may be made to St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care at Monmouth Medical Center, 95 Old Short Hills Rd. 1st floor, West Orange, NJ 07052 or to The Humane Society, 260 Main Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
