Halik, 77,
of Little Falls died Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Funeral services
will be at 8:15 a.m. Saturday from Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47
Main St., Little Falls, and 9 a.m. at St. Michaels Cathedral, 96
First St., Passaic. Interment will follow at St. Michaels
Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visitation is on Friday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Parastas at 2:15 p.m. Visit www.bizub.com

Born in Passaic,
Mr. Halik lived in Little Falls for 48 years in the home that he
designed and built. He served in the United States Army as a
corporal during the Korean War. Mr. Halik retired from the Port
Authority of New York and New Jersey after after a 37-year
career as a construction supervisor at Newark Liberty
International Airport. He was active in the Little Falls Little
League and Boy Scout Troop 14, where he was known for his
culinary skills on camping trips. He was a lifelong parishioner
of St. Michaels Cathedral, Passaic.
Richard devoted
his life to his family and loved to tell jokes and make people
laugh. He was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his beloved
wife of 55 loving years, the former Maryann Fedor; his son,
Richard M. Halik Jr. and his girlfriend, Nita Persson, of
Bloomfield; his daughter, Sharan Miller and her husband, John,
of Andover; his son, Thomas D. Halik and his wife, Roselie, and
his granddaughters, Leigh Ann and Samantha, and his grandsons,
Thomas Jr. and Harrison, all of Wake Forest, N.C., and his
sister, Doris Rice and her husband, Bob, of New Tripoli, Pa. He
was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Danchak) Halik,
formerly of Clifton.
