Geraldine Gates GATES Geraldine Gates Great-grandmother, 82 Geraldine Gates, 82, made her transition on Aug. 29, 2008. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Faith Temple Original Free Will Baptist Church, Main and Halstead Sts., East Orange. Interment is in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Whigham Funeral Home. Born in Blakeley, Ga., Geraldine was a resident of Newark. She was a retired toll collector for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Geraldine was a member of Faith Temple Original Free Will Baptist Church, East Orange.
