Parsippany
-- Joseph A. Darcy passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008,
at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was 64.
He was
born in Ireland and came to the United States in 1948,
settling in New York City. He has spent the last
37 years of his life in Parsippany. Joseph
received his associate's degree in business
administration from County College of Morris in
Randolph. He served in the Army during the Vietnam
Era from May 3, 1965, being honorably discharged on
March 3, 1971.
Joseph was
a maintenance foreman for the Port Authority of N.Y and
N.J., where he worked in the sign shop for 33 years,
before retiring in January of 1997. Joseph was
predeceased by his dear brother, Phil. Survivors
include his beloved wife, Molly J. (Macintyre); his
loving children, Joseph D. of California and Ruth B. of
Lyndhurst; and his dear brothers and sisters, Patrick,
Thomas, John, Mary, Theresa and Joan.
Relatives
and friends are invited to attend his liturgy of
Christian burial, to be offered on Thursday, June 5,
2008, at 11 a.m. at Saint Peter the Apostle Roman
Catholic Church, 179 Baldwin Road, Parsippany.
Cremation is private.
Visiting
hours are on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. only at the
Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany.
