
						
						ARTHUR D. CROFT
						RUMSON

						Mass for Arthur D. Croft, 
						93, formerly of West New York, will be tomorrow at 10 
						a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Rumson. He died Tuesday at 
						Care One of King James Care Center, Navesink.
						
						
						Born in Union Hill, he grew up in Edgewater and lived in 
						West New York, Westwood and Jackson before moving to 
						Rumson. 
						Croft was an accountant for the Port Authority of New 
						York and New Jersey for 32 years. He retired in 1977. 
						He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving from 
						1942 to 1945, and serving in New Guinea and the 
						Philippines. He left the service as a master sergeant 
						and was awarded a Bronze Star. 
						
						
						He was a former communicant of St. Aloysius Church, 
						Jackson, and currently was a communicant of Holy Cross 
						Church. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. 
						Joseph of the Palisades Church, West New York. 
						He was active with the Boy Scouts of America. 
						
						
						Surviving are his wife, Mary G.; two sons, Donald, and 
						his wife, Janice, and Walter, and his wife Rosemary; two 
						daughters, Mary Croft and Elizabeth Croft; three 
						grandchildren, Christopher, and his wife Jaime, Jennifer 
						Lehman, and her husband Jeff, and Vanessa Croft. 
						
						
						Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, is in charge.
