His friends at the Port Authority were saddened to learn of the passing of John D. Barbosa, age 53, on March 20, 2008.  He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, and sons, Matthew and David.

Mr. Barbosa joined the Port Authority on May 13, 1985.  At the time of his death, he held the position of Electrician at the George Washington Bridge.

Friends will be received at Barrett Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 10:00 am at Mt. Carmel Church, Tenafly, NJ.  Interment will be private.
