						Ballow, James W., 
						85, of Ft Lauderdale passed away on April 30, 2008. He 
						is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy; 
						daughter Barbara Wagner (Richard Wagenheim); and beloved 
						grandsons, Jim and Brian. Born in New York City in 1922, 
						he enlisted in the U.S. Army Corps at age 20 and served 
						with the 5th Air Force in the Southwest Pacific Theater 
						of Operations during WWII from May, 1943 to September, 
						1945. Jim graduated from Seton Hall University in N.J. 
						in 1952 and earned a Master of Arts degree from Columbia 
						University in 1962. 
						
						
						He was employed for 26 
						years with the Port Authority of N.Y. and N.J. before 
						retiring and moving from N.J. to Florida in 1978. He was 
						a member of the WWII 38th Bomb Group Assn., and served 
						as an usher at St. Pius X Catholic Church for many 
						years. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 2 at Kraeer 
						Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 N. Federal Hwy., Ft. 
						Lauderdale (wake service 7pm). Funeral Mass Sat., May 3, 
						10:30 a.m., St. Pius X Church, 2511 N. Ocean Blvd. 
						(A1A), Ft. Lauderdale 33305. In lieu of flowers, 
						donations may be made to St. Pius X Church in Jim's 
						memory.
