MOELLER Henry Bud Moeller
Port Authority safety supervisor, of Chatham, 87 Henry Bud
Moeller, 87, of Chatham Township passed away at Morristown
Memorial Hospital on Aug. 21. A memorial gathering will
take place at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St.,
Chatham, on Sunday, Aug. 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. For further

Mr. Moeller was born and raised
in Brooklyn, N.Y., and graduated from the Adelphi Academy in
1938. He also lived in Madison before moving to Chatham in 1969.
Mr. Moeller graduated from New York University in 1942 with a
B.S. in business administration. He was a volunteer ambulance
driver with the American Field Service during World War II,
where he participated in the Italian Campaign assigned to the
British 8th Army. He was awarded the European-African-Middle
Eastern Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Army of
Occupation Medal World War II, the World War II Victory Medal
American Field Service 1940 to 1945, Morris County Distinguished
Military Service Medal, Morris County World War II Commemorative
Medal, United States of America Freedom Medal 1941 to 1945, and
the Honorable Service Medal.
Mr. Moeller was a safety
supervisor for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for
21 years before retiring in 1982. Prior to that, he held safety
management positions with Schaefer Brewing Co. and Todd
Shipyards Corp. He was designated as a certified safety
professional, and was a member and past program chairman of the
American Society of Safety Engineers.
Mr. Moeller was the beloved
husband of 59 years to Eleanore (nee Weiler), and loving father
of Carole Rains and Nancy Kantor. He is also survived by four
grandchildren. Contributions in Mr. Moellers memory may be made
to the Chatham Emergency Squad, 45 Spring St., Chatham, N.J.
