William (Bill) Beales

05-26-2007 William (Bill) Beales, 66, passed away May 26, 2007, at his home in Bracey, Va. He was born and raised in New York. He retired with 33 years of service from the Port Authority of NY and NJ moving to Bracey, Va., in 1996.

He was an active member of the American Legion in South Hill, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; grandson, Jeremy; brother, John; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Margaret Brady, of Point Pleasant; and brother-in-law, Edwin (Bud) McMahan. He is survived by his wife, Glenda (Brady) Beales, of Bracey, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Mario Norberto, of Florida; son and daughter-in-law, William (Billy) and Ellen Beales, of New York; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Beverly Hammontree, of Tenn.; and daughter, Melissa (Rhea) Cook, of Delaware.

Bill will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Damian, Brooke, and Brianna; John, Dominick, and Max; Jessica and Joseph; Kayra and Emili; sister, Mary Tulley, of N.Y.; brothers, Cleo Beales and Edward Beales, both of Va.; and many special nieces and nephews.

Mass was held Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at The Good Shepherd Catholic Church in South Hill, Va. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2007, at 2 p.m. at New Home Cemetery in Newport with the Rev. Tommy Burke officiating. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
