				James V. Mullarney Sr., 72, Port 
				Authority Police Officer

				A Mass for James V. Mullarney Sr., 72, of the Colonia section of 
				Woodbridge Township, will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. John 
				Vianney Church, Colonia, after the funeral from the Gosselin 
				Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Rd., Edison. 
				
				Mr. Mullarney, who died Tuesday 
				at home, was a police officer with the Port Authority of New 
				York and New Jersey for 25 years before 
				retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Port Authoritys Police 
				Benevolent Association chapter. 
				 
				Mr. Mullarney served in the Army during the peacetime. 
				Born in Jersey City, he lived in Colonia since 1963. 
				Surviving are a son, James Jr.; daughters, Lori, Jane Brunner, 
				Monica Missry and Maureen Hapstak; brothers, Thomas Jr. and 
				Martin; a sister, Doris Casey and six grandchildren.
